The Sakura Dragon is an allusive dragon that is found in areas where sakura tree dominate in forests. It is also know as "Sakura Guardian" or "God of the Sakura", because they always seem to be an abundant amount of sakura tree forests in random areas, making to believe sakura trees grow and survive by there guardian/god.
It is unknown if the trees on the dragon are horn deformation or actual trees. Some myths state that the trees fall off adding more sakura trees to the forest. The light strip along the dragon top is nicknames "Pathway to the heavens".
Humans have not been able to capture nor properly examine the creature but a few monks from local shrines in the area have stated they have met the creatures. "Clear mind and a pure heart and nature around you will acknowledge you." stated the monk.
This is my first sculpture ever made on my own. I am so happy this came out great. There was a few hiccups but it came together in the end.
This sculpture is made out of Sculpey III clay and painted with acrylic paint on a wooden base. The eyes is made out of glass beads and is painted. Because of the way its painted the pupils will be looking at the viewer which ever angle there in.
