Sakura Dragon by LunarSapphire-studio Sakura Dragon by LunarSapphire-studio
The Sakura Dragon is an allusive dragon that is found in areas where sakura tree dominate in forests. It is also know as "Sakura Guardian" or "God of the Sakura", because they always seem to be an abundant amount of sakura tree forests in random areas, making to believe sakura trees grow and survive by there guardian/god.

It is unknown if the trees on the dragon are horn deformation or actual trees. Some myths state that the trees fall off adding more sakura trees to the forest. The light strip along the dragon top is nicknames "Pathway to the heavens".

Humans have not been able to capture nor properly examine the creature but a few monks from local shrines in the area have stated they have met the creatures. "Clear mind and a pure heart and nature around you will acknowledge you." stated the monk.

Artist remarks:
This is my first sculpture ever made on my own. I am so happy this came out great. There was a few hiccups but it came together in the end.

Materials:
This sculpture is made out of Sculpey III clay and painted with acrylic paint on a wooden base. The eyes is made out of glass beads and is painted. Because of the way its painted the pupils will be looking at the viewer which ever angle there in.

Size Demension:
Sakura Dragon: (From snout to bend of the tail) 8.5" wide and 6"tall(top of the tree)
base: 6.5"

I'm more impressed that you were able to get in that amount of detail with Sculpey III than I am anything else o_o Like....W O W. That clay isn't even remotely firm..I worked with that for most the time and had a lot of trouble getting in small details with it. How you've done this is utterly beyond me. Amazing work~ positively mind blowing!!

Thank you very much. I think mine may have been a slight tough batch become premo is way much softer than the sculpey 3  i have over here. But one thing i notice is the strength of the clay. The small fragile things few of the trees broke over time. But one thing i like at times is soft clay pick up my details a bit better. I dont really press hard on things(i need to work on that). I glad it mind blowing. Its really great to hear that.

*also sorry for the long delay in reply* :icondragonerrplz:

Quite possibly the most badass depiction of one of the more docile dragons of fantasy lore.
